Carolyn Steinmuller oral history interview, 1993.

Steinmuller discusses her family background and her decision to attend LSU. She also details the procedures and her experiences with assisting to build the Delta Gamma sorority house. Further, Steinmuller reminisces about annual rush parties, the New Orleans women who joined the sorority, the quality of education at LSU, and the bringing of The Art of the Eye exhibit to Baton Rouge.

Arthur Taylor Prescott (1863-1942) graduated from Louisiana State University, Baton Rouge, La., in 1884. Steinmuller was born on 15 August 1927 in Opelousas, La. In 1947, Steinmuller pledged Delta Gamma sorority, and she graduated in 1949. After several years of teaching, she returned to LSU to earn her masters degree. She married Al Steinmuller in the 1950s and became very active in Delta Gamma, serving as alumni president and house corporation president during the construction of the sorority's house on the LSU campus.
